The Way of Jesus

Until recently, my idea of the Christian life found only in Jesus is inclusive not only of the Gospels where He is found to be the Logos entering the life of being human but the entirety of the remainder of the NT. Depending on what is being published and what is read, the Way of Jesus may mean different things to many people. Many disagree with my understanding of Scripture.

When I speak of the Jesus Way everything included in Scripture speaks of His Way. Jesus tells us, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, and My way is narrow and is exclusive of human ideas.” Yes, this is my paraphrase of what I know to be true statements found in His Word.

Jesus is said to be the Alpha and Omega and He is always the same. We find Him being present in the Creation, He and God are One and the Same, but He is not the Father nor the Holy Spirit. We also know if He had not been present at the Creation…you and I would not have been the clay molded by His hands. For the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are quite different but uniquely a part of the Trinity, God.

Jesus died upon a cross outside the walls of the Holy City, Jerusalem, buried to rise after three days and the Holy Spirit followed Him as the Comforter, Counselor and the One who convicts us of sin, judgment and righteousness. This self-same Spirit occupies those who have expressed their faith in the Risen Christ as Savior and Lord because their bodies are now the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

The Father teaches every Christ-follower as they read and study the Word of God and He is always present with us just as Jesus and the Holy Spirit are present. They never part from us.

We are in Christ as He is in us, and we are to bear our Cross daily being empowered by Him. We are to be crucified with Him each day and are to be filled by the Holy Spirit as we clothe ourselves in the Armor of God as well. All of this enables every Believer to be imitators of God.

And one glorious Day, the Church will be gathered by the Christ as He prepares the world for the end of days as found mostly in John’s Revelation. After the Rapture there will be a very terrible period of time known as the Great Tribulation. Then comes the Judgment wherein those who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior will be cast into the Lake of Fire for all eternity because their names will not be found in the Book of Life. Those whose names appear in the Book of Life will be gathered for all eternity to be with the Christ in Heaven.

And now you might be asking, why did this guy not give me Scripture to back up what he has written here? Simple, do not believe me alone. Find a Bible and do some searching for yourself…believe the Word of God alone.

Jesus is Lord.
