We ARE God’s Agenda

July 4th is a grand day to celebrate and to remember the day our Nation was founded. That day is our National agenda. Today, however, is a new day, another day our Lord has given us to celebrate Him. And we who know Him must do this each and every day for He will not forsake us because we are His agenda.

  • This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4.
  • The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9.
  • For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10.
  • He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14.

We who know Christ as Savior and Lord do understand that we do have days of celebration such as birthdays and other holidays we have set aside. But, we also know that we are to celebrate Jesus Christ on a daily basis because we are not ashamed of the Gospel which is His power for salvation given to those who believe in Him. We are His agenda.

“But the Lord sits enthroned forever; He has established His throne for judgment. He judges the world with righteousness; He executes judgment on the nations with fairness. The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know Your name trust in You because You have not abandoned those who seek You, Yahweh.” Psalm 9:7-10 HCSB.

Jesus is Lord.
