Politicians all are waging war against one another decrying, “They are against the Constitution” and many other statements. Who is who and who is correct? We all understand, “I am!!” Who is, then, “I am?” As a ‘religionist’ wanting America’s government in Washington, D.C. to be highly influenced by Christians, I find many who do not want that, either…even some Christians. How about, ‘many?’

The question is, “Where does this influence begin and stop?” I would think, “At the ballot box.” But let me say, “Everyone else on the street and at the ballot box is saying, ‘religion’ must be personal and nothing more.” The truth of this is not simple, but it is simple. We all have religions, each of us.

Americans who study our republican/democratic construction continue to find our history gives a foundation for the war we are presently engaged. What we now know is many wish to displace, not replace, American justice, the rule of law and order, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution with social justice. As the Patriot, Patrick Henry said, “Give me liberty or give me death” may now become our rallying call again. He also reminded us that we are foremost, “Americans!!”

“America will never be defeated from outside. If we falter and lose our freedom, it will come from the inside.” – – Abraham Lincoln. And Lincoln agreed with Jesus Christ, “ And knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them, “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand? If I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? For this reason they will be your judges. But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can anyone enter the strong man’s house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.” Matthew 12:25-30 NASB. 

Our present American war from within, simply stated, is Good vs. Evil. Like it or not our religious values are clearly stated.
