There are some things in this life that I have come to understand that simply are NOT for me to understand. But this I accept for God tells us, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not My ways.” This is the Lord’s declaration. “For as heaven is higher than earth, so My ways are higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return there without saturating the earth and making it germinate and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat, so My word that comes from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.” Isaiah 55:8-11 HCSB.

For the life of me I do not understand the vast differences between all of the denominations ‘out there,’ and among us Baptists, either. Although I remain a Southern Baptist ‘to the core,’ presently I am a member of another local brand of Baptist churches. I have chosen to do this only because of the choir, orchestra, grand piano, a larger-than-life organ and HYMNS alive!! Among us Baptists stand many of the same biblical truths, but we are very well separated on some other issues that continue to stand in the ways we travel. And these things will most likely separate us until the Rapture, (and there is disagreement among us here, too.) However, The following words of Jesus are for everyone:

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels All the nations He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” Followed by, “And the King will answer them, ‘I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’ Then He will also say to those on the left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels!” Matthew 25:31-34; 40-41 HCSB.

The truth of His instruction is simple, there is a different eternity prepared for everyone. “He also said to me, “Don’t seal the prophetic words of this book, because the time is near. Let the unrighteous go on in unrighteousness; let the filthy go on being made filthy; let the righteous go on in righteousness; and let the holy go on being made holy. Look! I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me to repay each person according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by the gates. Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.” Revelation 22:10-15.

It makes no difference what our ‘brand’ may be, but it does matter if Jesus is your Lord and Savior because He IS coming again.

Jesus is Lord!!
